Blair’s Backcountry Bowls have been developed in Canada to be the perfect back country camping solution. Designed to provide all you need to explore further.

Our recipes feature natural ingredients with a very limited amount of extra ingredients. Simple, delicious and packed with the right nutrients to keep you exploring, whether in the backcountry, in the city or your kitchen.

Packed in Paper Food Pouches with Food Grade lining, our ingredients are securely stored until you rip them open. Easy to dispose in your campfire after use.

How do I prepare Blair’s Backcountry Bowls?

Vegetables & Seeds

Step 1: Remove contents from packet and place contents into a bowl or container.

Step 2: Boil 1 cup | 250ml of water

Step 3: Pour boiling water into bowl or container and stir.

Step 4: Cover and let stand for 15 minutes.

Step 5: Serve and enjoy!

Fruits & Seeds

Step 1: Boil about 150 ml of Water

Step 2: Remove oxygen absorbing pouch

Step 3: Pour contents into a bowl, container or pot.

Step 4: Add boiling water

Step 5: Stir, cover and let stand for 5 minutes

Step 6: Serve and enjoy!

Dehydrated Vegetables

Cook the flakes in salted boiling water for 15 to 20 minutes or until they have reached the proper tenderness. You may also add the vegetables directly to soups, stews or bowls and let them cook for 15 to 20 minutes.

How long do Blair’s Backcountry Bowls last on the shelf?

Packages are individually marked with Best Before dates. Every food pouch is sealed and contains an oxygen-absorbing packet to fight pathogens, bacteria and mold. They are shelf stable but some ingredients will expire before others.

Vegetable & Seeds

Estimated shelf life is 1 year after packaging.

Fruits & Seeds

Shelf life is reduced as dried fruit is not as stable as dried vegetables and tend to be less than six months from packaging.

Dried Vegetables

Estimated shelf life is 1 year after packaging.
